Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

This month provides an opportunity to share your support for children living with cancer, as well as reflect on the mental, social, and financial challenges that their families face.

The Dream Factory

As a Manitoba-based organization, The Dream Factory works to be a source of joy, laughter, and hope for Dream Kids across the province.

The Dream Kids are local children living with life-threatening illnesses, including cancer. These children show incredible strength every day, and they deserve a dream come true.

Dream On!

Trips to Disneyland, swimming with dolphins, meet-ups with pop stars, skating on the ice with The Jets—no dream is too big for The Dream Factory to handle.

When COVID hit, many routines came to a halt—but cancer doesn’t take a break. On top of the coronavirus overwhelming the healthcare system and practically shutting the city down, Manitoba’s Dream Kids still needed to undergo regular treatments, tests, and surgeries.

The Dream Factory’s support was unwavering. The organization quickly adjusted to new restrictions and found a way to safely provide joy and support to Dream Kids and their families throughout the pandemic.

You Can Help

Here’s how you can help The Dream Factory make dreams come true for children living with cancer:

Donate Today

Make a one-time, monthly, or in-memoriam monetary donation here. The Dream Factory also accepts gifts of goods and services!

With the Dream Family Fund, a donation of $500 will help a local family through some of the financial stresses associated with caring for a sick child, including time off work, hospital parking, meal expenses, hotel stays, and more.

Sponsor A Dream

Your business, local company, or community group can make a big impact by sponsoring a Dream Kid's special dream.

Local gym owner Dave Beakley sponsored Apollo’s dream come true through his annual fundraising event, Deadlifts for Dreams!

Become a Volunteer

Volunteer at The Dream Factory and help out in their office, for special events, or as a part of the fundraising committee!
